Job Title: Returns and Recall Warehouse Associate
Job Description

This role focuses on processing returned and recalled items from retail stores so they can be restocked, rerouted to other distribution centers, or sent back to retail locations. You will work along a conveyor line using an RF scanner to identify, sort, and organize products, and you will build and wrap pallets to ensure items are ready for accurate and safe movement through the distribution network.

Responsibilities

• Receive returned and recalled items from retail stores and prepare them for restocking, rerouting, or redistribution.
• Use an RF scanner to scan labels on items moving along a conveyor belt and accurately identify and process each item.
• Sort and organize items based on scan information, destination, and processing requirements.
• Build and wrap pallets of returned and recalled items to ensure secure and stable loads.
• Place completed pallets in designated areas for further processing or shipment to other distribution centers or retail stores.
• Perform repetitive tasks while standing in one place along the conveyor line for extended periods.
• Handle items with care to prevent damage and maintain product quality during processing.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when handling materials and operating equipment such as pallet jacks.
• Assist with basic inventory-related tasks, such as verifying counts and ensuring items are correctly routed.

• Experience performing general labor tasks in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar environment.
• Material handling experience, including moving, sorting, and organizing items.
• Ability to use an RF scanner to scan and process items accurately.
• Experience with pallet building and wrapping for secure shipment.
• Ability to stand in one place for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks consistently.
• Basic inventory handling skills, including organizing and tracking items.
• Experience using a pallet jack to move pallets safely.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure correct item identification and routing.

• Previous experience working on a conveyor line in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, repetitive environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Strong organizational skills for handling and arranging items efficiently.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic, with a focus on completing tasks safely and efficiently.

Work Environment

You will work in a large, new distribution center located in New Kent that features a climate-controlled environment and modern equipment. The facility operates on a first-shift schedule: Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The work is primarily performed along a conveyor line, where you will stand in one place for most of your shift while handling and processing items. The environment is structured, organized, and designed to support safe and efficient material handling operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Providence Forge, VA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
