Intermediate Interior Designer (4+ years)

The Intermediate Designer position offers the opportunity to lead select smaller-scale residential projects from concept through installation while also contributing to larger, more complex work. We are looking for a designer with a strong point of view, a curious eye, and an appreciation for art, craftsmanship, and the unexpected discoveries that give a home its character. The ideal candidate balances creativity with organization, takes ownership of their work, and is excited to contribute to the thoughtful, highly personalized design experience that defines our firm. Key Responsibilities Lead smaller-scale residential projects from concept through installation with oversight from Senior Designers or the Firm Principal Support Senior Designers on larger projects through design development, documentation, sourcing, and coordination Develop and maintain AutoCAD drawing sets, specifications, schedules, and project documentation Assist with space planning, furniture plans, material selections, sourcing, and presentations Coordinate with vendors, consultants, contractors, and fabricators Participate in client meetings, site visits, and installations Assist with procurement coordination and project organization Support project timelines, communication, and follow-through across multiple projects Collaborate with Junior Designers and Design Assistants on production-related tasks Skills & Qualifications Distinct design perspective and the ability to thoughtfully interpret and execute projects within the firm's design language Appreciation for residential interiors, design history, furnishings, materials, and construction methods Ability to independently manage smaller residential projects and project tasks with guidance and oversight as needed Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Confident visual presentation and design development abilities Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Studio Designer, and related industry software Collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn What We Offer Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with up to a 3% employer match Paid vacation, holidays, and year-end studio closure 9/80 alternative work schedule with every other Friday off Opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and project ownership A collaborative, creative studio that values curiosity, craftsmanship, and great design How to Apply Please send a resume, portfolio, and brief personal letter to View email address on click.appcast.io.
