Supply Chain Specialist

Reports To: Procurement Manager or Director of Procurement Position Summary The Supply Chain Specialist supports concrete construction operations by managing both procurement activities and supply chain analytics. This hybrid role is evenly split between buying (materials, equipment, and services) and data‑driven analysis to improve cost, availability, and operational efficiency. The position ensures timely delivery of concrete materials, forming systems, rebar, and related construction supplies while developing reporting tools and systems to enhance visibility and decision‑making. Key Responsibilities Execute purchasing of concrete‑related materials including ready‑mix, rebar, formwork systems, embeds, and jobsite consumables Coordinate with project teams to understand material needs and schedules Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing Analyze material usage and pricing trends Develop reporting tools using Excel and Python Automate procurement workflows and systems Monitor inventory, lead times, and deliveries Support jobsites with logistics challenges Collaborate with operations, estimating, and finance Ensure compliance with procurement policies Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience in supply chain or construction procurement Experience with concrete construction materials Advanced Excel skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in concrete construction Familiarity with scheduling and cost tracking Experience building automation tools Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of construction supply chain dynamics Analytical and problem‑solving skills High attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities Core Values / Behavioral Expectations Safety and jobsite excellence Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: Competitive Annual Salary based on qualifications, skills, training, experience, and location.
