ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

The Concrete Finisher is responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete surfaces for a variety of commercial, industrial, and site work projects. This includes tasks such as sidewalks, curbs, gutters, floors, decks, and other structural elements. The role requires expertise in achieving the correct grade, texture, and finish, ensuring both structural integrity and aesthetic quality. Cement Masons work with precision, using hand and power tools, and may perform tasks independently or as part of a crew while following all safety and quality standards.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

• Perform all aspects of concrete work on commercial and industrial projects, including pouring, placing, finishing, and patching, ensuring each phase meets structural and aesthetic standards.

• Read and interprets blueprints, sketches, and project plans to determine layout, dimensions, grades, and elevations prior to and throughout construction activities.

• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, vehicles, and mechanized equipment to transport, place, smooth, texture, and finish concrete surfaces, in accordance with applicable certifications and project requirements.

• Ensure all exposed concrete meets both structural integrity and appearance standards, applying appropriate finishing techniques to achieve specified surface quality.

• Provide guidance and direction to crew members, supporting a productive and coordinated work environment on the job site.

• Monitor work processes, materials, and site conditions continuously to uphold quality standards and identify potential safety concerns before they escalate.

• Always adhere strictly to OSHA regulations and company safety policies, contributing to a safe working environment for the entire crew.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to meet evolving project needs and schedules.

YOU ARE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE

• 7–10 years of commercial concrete finishing experience.

• Expert knowledge of concrete trade practices and techniques.

• Ability to read and understand construction documents and tape measures.

• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet strict deadlines.

• Commitment to safety and quality control standards.
