Human Resources Generalist

My client is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join its Human Resources team and serve as a key partner to employees and leaders across the business. This is a highly visible, hands-on HR role for someone who enjoys variety and wants to be more than an administrator. The HR Generalist will work closely with managers and HR leadership on employee relations, investigations, performance management, talent initiatives, employee development, and broader people programs. The ideal candidate is approachable, solutions-oriented, and confident navigating employee matters independently. This individual will support multiple business groups and locations, balancing day-to-day employee needs with initiatives designed to strengthen HR processes, leadership capability, and the overall employee experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, procedures, workplace practices, and day-to-day people matters. Partner with managers on a broad range of employee relations issues, including performance concerns, attendance, workplace conduct, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters. Conduct fair, thorough, and objective workplace investigations involving employee complaints, policy concerns, and other sensitive workplace matters. Document investigation findings and recommendations while ensuring confidentiality and appropriate follow-through. Coach managers through performance management conversations, corrective action, and performance improvement plans. Help leaders navigate challenging employee situations while balancing business needs, consistency, employee experience, and organizational risk. Support annual performance management and compensation processes in partnership with HR leadership and business leaders. Partner with managers to identify employee development needs and support training and development initiatives. Contribute to onboarding and orientation programs that create a positive experience for new employees and accelerate integration into the organization. Build strong relationships across multiple business units and locations, developing a clear understanding of the needs of each client group. Support employee engagement and culture initiatives designed to strengthen communication, retention, and the overall employee experience. Participate in broader HR projects involving talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee experience, process improvement, and HR program implementation. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and help implement practical solutions that create greater efficiency and consistency. Maintain accurate employee information and documentation across HR systems. Conduct regular HR data audits to ensure employee information is complete and accurate. Support HR reporting, compliance activities, audits, and other workforce-related initiatives. Partner cross-functionally with HR colleagues and business leaders to ensure HR programs and practices are implemented consistently across the organization. Handle sensitive employee and business information with a high level of professionalism, judgment, and discretion. WHAT MY CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR Approximately 5–7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally within a Generalist, HRBP, or similar hands‑on HR role. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered. Strong employee relations background with direct experience managing workplace issues from initial assessment through resolution. Experience conducting workplace investigations and documenting findings and recommendations. Demonstrated ability to coach and advise managers on performance management, employee development, corrective action, and other people‑related decisions. Experience supporting multiple locations, business units, or client groups . Strong working knowledge of employment practices, HR compliance, and applicable employment laws. Ability to operate with sound judgment when situations are not always black and white. Confident communicator who can build trust and credibility with employees as well as managers and senior leaders. Strong influencing, coaching, conflict‑resolution, and problem‑solving skills. Organised and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a changing environment. Detail‑oriented with the ability to maintain accurate employee data and documentation. Experience working with HRIS platforms and proficiency with Microsoft Office. High degree of discretion when handling confidential or sensitive employee matters. #J-18808-Ljbffr
