Quick Facts Location: Athens, OH (55 Hospital Drive) Start Date: 04/28/2026 End Date/Duration: Permanent position Shift: 24/7 on-call with round and go model from home Hours/week: Full-time (flexible based on schedule) Employment Type: Permanent physician role Licenses/Certifications: Ohio medical license, board-certified/board-eligible in Pediatrics Experience: Minimum 3+ years in Pediatric hospital medicine, leadership experience preferred Pay & Benefits Pay rate: $1.00/hour Benefits include: Competitive pay package discussed at interview Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) including health, dental, vision, prescription drugs, and life insurance Short and long-term disability options Relocation assistance, if applicable Advanced education and leadership training opportunities Support for licenses and hospital credentialing Retirement plan options (401k with company match) Employee stock purchase program (15% discount) Pre-tax HSA and FSA accounts Additional benefits: Aflac hospital/critical illness/accident plans, Identity Protection, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) What You'll Do Lead a team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists providing inpatient and nursery care with NICU support from Pediatrix Neonatologists Provide newborn nursery care, including circumcisions, with guidance from neonatology support Manage pediatric consultations in the Emergency Department, delivering expert assessments and treatment plans Participate in 24/7 on-call coverage on a round and go basis from home Collaborate closely with Neonatologists and fellow Pediatric Hospitalists to ensure coordinated, high-quality care Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects Exchange knowledge and best practices with a large network of Pediatrix providers and facilities What You Need Valid Ohio medical license and hospital credentialing Board-certified or eligible in Pediatrics Minimum 3+ years of experience in pediatric hospital medicine; leadership experience preferred Ability to work collaboratively and provide leadership within a team setting Strong communication and clinical skills About the Assignment This opportunity is with a leading facility in Athens, Ohio, dedicated to providing exceptional pediatric inpatient care.
