Registered Nurse - Surgical Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

AM Shift (07:00 - 19:30) - 3 × 12 hr shifts, totaling 36 hours/week. Every other weekend required, along with one evening shift on a major holiday (Christmas or New Year's) and one additional holiday shift (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's), as needed by the unit.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will join a dynamic surgical unit primarily focused on post-operative care for patients recovering from orthopedic, gynecology, urology, and general surgeries. The Registered Nurse will assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under the direction of the licensed physician, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide individualized care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-operative patients.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to tailor care plans.
• Direct nursing support staff in the delivery of patient care according to established standards.
• Float to other units as necessary depending on staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the surgical nursing specialty preferred.
• PA Registered Nurse License required.
• Multi-State Compact RN License required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
