Job Description

As a Security Officer Driving Patrol in LOS ANGELES, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and support access and badge activities while providing outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.85 / Hour

Day Time Wed 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Thur 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Fri 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Sat 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Sun 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including loading areas, dock doors, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious persons, vehicles, and/or conditions according to site procedures.
• Support daily operations by observing package handling and shipment movement areas for security-related concerns, reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
