Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Active RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRPS Must-Have: Charge Experience Preferred or Willing to Train Description: L&D RN must have an active RN license for an auto offer. Assignment length is 13 weeks with a start date as soon as possible. This is a 3x12 night shift position. Most likely this will be a straight night shift position. If needed, the schedule may flip every four weeks to cover both nights and days. First-timers are accepted. Guaranteed hours are 60 hours per two weeks. The traveler can be called off for one 12-hour shift per two weeks. The unit is a high-risk labor and delivery environment. Average daily deliveries are around seven, but there may be up to fourteen patients with inductions and high-risk antepartum. OB Triage averages four to five third trimester testing patients as well as an influx of triage patients each day. Weekends are required every other week. If needed, the nurse may float to similar units to meet facility needs. No block schedule accommodations are available. Travelers must separate from the facility for a minimum of three months before returning as a traveler assignment. Travelers can work for a maximum of one calendar year in their assignment. After that, a minimum of a six-month break is required before returning for another traveler assignment. Hep B vaccinations are required and titers or declinations are not accepted. References required cover one year within the last three years during the compliance process and prior to start. The position may require the individual to work two out of three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Housing options in the area should be considered, as they may be limited. Modules are non-billable, typically averaging 16 hours spent. Time spent on modules is self-reported, and completion is recorded in transcripts.
