Emergency Department Tech - Lab 0.6 FTE

Job Summary Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) provides direct patient care to patients and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Pay range: Hourly $24.95 - $36.91 Part Time / Days and Evenings, 0.6 FTE / Two 12 hour shifts per week (1100-2330/0600-1800) Responsibilities Provide care to patients of various ages. Perform waived and moderately complex point of care testing and associated quality activities outlined in protocol and procedures. Obtain blood samples from patients, transport samples and other potentially bio‑hazardous specimens for point of care testing. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Health Care Provider CPR Certification required upon hire. Active licensure upon hire: Washington State Nursing Assistant‑Certified (NAC) required or Washington State Nursing Assistant Registration (NAR) considered. Washington State Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist (MA-P) license acceptable. Minimum of one year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred. Computer familiarity preferred. Knowledge and handling of hospital equipment, record keeping.
