Registered Nurse Telemetry

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the telemetry unit at a 36-bed hospital. The RN will provide specialized cardiac monitoring and care, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to unit policies and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver direct patient care to telemetry patients, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including procedures such as bedside paracentesis and thoracentesis.
• Document patient information accurately using Meditech electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Respond promptly to alarms and patient needs, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.
• Support unit policies, including telemetry monitoring and stroke protocols, while actively participating in patient satisfaction initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience.
• Proven knowledge of chest tubes, dysrhythmia recognition, and related procedures.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and adapt to unit policies.
