About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: State or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC Must-Have: Previous charge experience, care of ventilated patients, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, triage experience. Description: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. The unit accepts first-time travelers. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. No call is required for this position. Floating within the facility and scope of practice may be needed. Candidates will be reviewed for clinical fit. If the clinical pass meets guidelines, candidates will be sent for final decision. Requests for time off should not exceed 7 days. Travelers are expected to work major holidays if they fall during their assignment. If one major holiday falls during the assignment, working it is expected. If two major holidays fall during the assignment, working both is required. If three major holidays fall during the assignment, working two of the holidays is expected. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Compliance must be completed before the contract signing. Modules related to orientation are required by specialty. Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 250 visits. Interdisciplinary support includes various specialties such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The unit deals with primary stroke, STEMI, and chest pain patients. Additional equipment includes specific medical devices and monitoring systems.
