Laboratory - Medical Lab Technician

Travel Medical Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The Travel Medical Technologist will perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and monitoring of various disease states. The role requires following standardized procedures, preparing samples for testing, and analyzing test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. The position demands a high level of familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the laboratory field.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic tests in various laboratory departments including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank.
• Prepare and process patient samples following established protocols.
• Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Adhere to safety and quality control standards in the laboratory.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience required.
• Completion of at least 2 previous travel assignments successfully.
• ASCP or AMT certification required.
• Familiarity with Beckman Hematology, ACL Top Coag, BB gel testing, Beckman Chemistry analyzers with DXA automation preferred.
• Cerner experience is a plus.
