HVAC Technician II

Responsibilities Assist with the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of data center HVAC systems and supporting infrastructure under minimal supervision. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and shop drawings to support system maintenance and troubleshooting. Support air and water balancing efforts to optimize energy efficiency and maintain occupant comfort. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of HVAC equipment, including: Air and water-cooled reciprocating chillers Centrifugal and screw package chillers Natural gas boilers and unit heaters Electric duct heaters Cooling towers Pneumatic, DDC, and Variable Frequency Drive controls HVAC air distribution systems, including AHUs, FCUs, fans, and related devices Various types of water pumps used in HVAC applications Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure reliable system performance and address routine or emergency maintenance needs. Maintain regular and reliable attendance as an essential function of the role. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience required; 4 years preferred Knowledge of refrigeration principles Strong understanding of basic electricity as it applies to HVAC systems and diagnostic tools Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as schematics and blueprints Must be a US citizen Ability to obtain security clearance preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
