What you’ll do:Field engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork for commercial, industrial, retail, government, and office projectsAssisting with project management & reportingField inspection, sampling & testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc.Report preparation and Report ReviewClient consultation and maintenanceProvide assistance to other PSI members to promote the overall objectives of the company.Prepare proposals and perform proposal follow upPerform billing and ensure project is within budget and project closeoutPrepare change orders and document changes in scopeEnsure field testing and inspections are scheduled and performed correctly and keep client informed of progressTrain field staff on different types of testing and inspection techniques in accordance with ASTM, ACI and other guidanceAssist other project managers and department manager with field, lab, and office tasksDispatch technicians to projects in the areaMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering / ABET school is requiredTwo or more years' experience in construction material testing and inspection requiredMust have Basic Math, Calculator and Computer SkillsAbility to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communicationMust be able to read and understand work plansMust be able to work off shifts and overtimeValid Driver’s License and reliable driving record (required) Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:Construction materials testing project management experience is preferredICC/ACI/FDOT Certification(s) highly preferredTennessee PE Registration highly preferredIntertek: Total Quality.
