Role Description The Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive dermatologic care, including conducting patient consultations, obtaining medical histories, performing focused skin examinations, and formulating differential diagnoses. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing common medical dermatology conditions, assisting with minor procedures (such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy), and supporting cosmetic and MedSpa services under appropriate supervision and protocols. The role involves educating patients on treatment plans, skincare regimens, prevention strategies, and post-procedure care, as well as documenting encounters accurately in the electronic medical record. The Physician Assistant will collaborate with dermatologists, nursing staff, and administrative team members to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and high-quality service. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Jacksonville, FL. Qualifications Current Physician Assistant license (or eligibility) in the state of Florida, graduation from an accredited PA program, and national certification (NCCPA); BLS/CPR certification required. Clinical experience in medical dermatology and basic dermatologic procedures; prior dermatology experience is required. Ability to obtain detailed histories, perform focused physical and skin exams, develop treatment plans, and manage follow-up care with attention to safety and evidence-based practice. Strong patient education, counseling, and communication skills, including the ability to explain diagnoses, procedures, risks, and aftercare in clear, accessible language. Comfort working in a fast-paced outpatient setting, with solid organizational skills, reliability in managing schedules, and accurate, timely documentation in electronic medical records.
