Location: Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania
Job Type: Full-Time
Health & Safety Engineer to join its Kawneer manufacturing facility in Bloomsburg, PA. Reporting to the EHS Manager, this position will support daily Environmental Health & Safety activities while helping drive compliance, injury reduction, industrial hygiene programs, and continuous safety improvements throughout the manufacturing operation.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in manufacturing safety, OSHA compliance, industrial hygiene, incident investigations, risk reduction, and employee safety training.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Program Management

• Develop and sustain systems focused on:
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Fatality prevention
  • Injury reduction
• Support implementation of strategic and tactical safety initiatives
• Assist in implementing Human Performance systems
• Promote continuous improvement in workplace safety

Incident Prevention & Investigation

• Analyze injury and incident data
• Assist management with injury reduction initiatives
• Conduct root cause investigations
• Develop corrective and preventive actions
• Track closure of action items and safety improvements

Industrial Hygiene & Exposure Control

• Lead industrial hygiene programs
• Execute IH sampling plans
• Maintain exposure records and databases
• Manage hazardous materials programs
• Support industrial ventilation programs
• Monitor employee exposure levels

Regulatory Compliance

• Maintain knowledge of:
  • OSHA standards
  • Federal regulations
  • State regulations
  • Local safety regulations
• Ensure facility compliance with all applicable regulations
• Support internal and external safety audits

Training & Risk Assessment

• Develop and deliver safety training programs
• Conduct workplace risk assessments
• Evaluate hazards and implement corrective measures
• Select and manage PPE requirements

Reporting & Analytics

• Maintain safety metrics and reporting systems
• Support audit programs and ASAT protocols
• Utilize data analytics for performance tracking
• Support Power BI and Excel-based reporting initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 1 year of Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with:
  • OSHA standards
  • Manufacturing or industrial environments
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• No sponsorship available

• 3+ years of Health & Safety experience in manufacturing
