JOB REQUIREMENTS: Essential Functions: Understands and promptly responds to customer needs with a sense of urgency. Complies with all food service sanitation standards and proper food handling techniques. Prepares a wide range of menu items accurately and timely using standardized recipes and techniques, ensuring food quality, consistency, and presentation are maintained. Participates in kitchen maintenance, routine cleaning, and equipment setup and maintenance. Adheres to food safety guidelines to ensure proper storage, handling, and preparation of food to prevent contamination. Assists in meal assembly to ensure accurate portioning and serves guests as required. Keeps the kitchen organized and clean, ensuring all prep areas and equipment are cleaned both during and after use. Collaborates with head cook and kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and task coordination. May perform cashier duties and other related tasks as directed by management. Adheres to uniform and appearance standards at all times. Follows timekeeping, production sheets, and all other required procedures and policies. Keeps updated on recipe changes and ensures all recipes are executed properly. Manages product requisition, ensures proper rotation and stock levels are maintained. Keeps immediate supervisors informed of all significant issues and takes corrective actions when necessary. Has a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and adheres to safety standards. Capable of moving and lifting up to 50 pounds and performs other duties as assigned. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Professional Requirements: Acts upon criticism as constructive. Educational/Professional Certifications: cooking experience - preferred. High School diploma/GED preferred. May be required to obtain State and/or City and/or County certification(s).
