Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist provides patient-centered occupational therapy services primarily in outpatient and home health settings, focusing on enhancing patient function and safety. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, delivering treatments based on physician referrals and professional guidelines, and maintaining accurate documentation. The position supports quality care and occasionally covers inpatient settings, with a regular Monday through Friday schedule. Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy treatment to patients following physician referrals and AOTA Practice Guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records.
• Deliver care primarily in outpatient and home health environments, with occasional inpatient coverage as needed.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Occupational Therapy licensure valid in the state of practice.
• Proficiency in occupational therapy treatment and intervention techniques.
• Ability to use electronic medical records for documentation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience or willingness to work in outpatient and home health settings.
• Less than one year of experience accepted, with a commitment to professional growth.

Special Considerations:

• Occasional inpatient coverage may be required.
• Work primarily in outpatient and home health environments.

Scheduling:

• Regular Monday through Friday schedule.
• Primarily daytime shifts.
