About the Position

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care and clinical oversight for residents in a long-term support setting. The RN assesses resident conditions, develops care plans, administers treatments and medications, supervises nursing staff, and ensures high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as ordered.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
• Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing personnel.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Educate residents, families, and staff regarding care plans and treatments.
• Participate in quality assurance and infection control programs.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS preferred in some settings.
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and leadership abilities.
