JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX is seeking a Principal Data Scientist with deep AdTech experience to lead high-impact initiatives across the AdRise platform. This role owns how we measure, optimize, and scale monetization across our advertising ecosystem.

You’ll define experimentation strategy, shape core metrics, and guide the development of data and machine learning systems that power targeting, pricing, and auction performance. You’ll partner closely with senior leaders across Product and Engineering to influence roadmap decisions, size opportunities, and drive business outcomes through data.

This is a highly visible role that combines hands-on technical work with strategic leadership. You’ll set direction, mentor other data scientists, and elevate the application of data science across AdRise.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and evolve AdRise’s experimentation ecosystem, including A/B testing frameworks, causal inference methods, and measurement standards

• Define and govern core KPIs and north-star metrics tied to revenue, yield, and marketplace performance

• Lead complex, ambiguous problem areas across targeting, identity, attribution, forecasting, and auction dynamics

• Design and build production-grade analytical and machine learning systems that improve monetization and ad performance

• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape roadmap priorities through data-driven insights and opportunity sizing

• Establish scalable data foundations, including metric definitions, data quality standards, and reproducible workflows

• Set technical direction for data science and mentor team members to raise overall impact

• Stay current with AdTech trends and introduce new methodologies that improve measurement and optimization

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Strong expertise in SQL and experience working with large-scale data systems

• Proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis and modeling

• Deep knowledge of experimentation, causal inference, and applied statistics

• Proven track record of driving measurable business impact through data, ideally in monetization or marketplace environments

• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders

• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

• Experience in AdTech, including ad serving, auctions, attribution, identity, or yield optimization

• Experience building or scaling experimentation platforms or production ML/data systems

• Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Mode, or Power BI

• Experience deploying machine learning models in production

• Experience working with cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift
