Requirements:- Maneuvering forklifts safely in a busy manufacturing environment
- Moving material and other items between storage, manufacturing and shipping areas
- Transport material to production workstations
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
- Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of material onto shelves or pallets
- Loading and unloading deliveries and relocating the goods to designated areas
- Ensuring that operating areas are free from spills and obstructions
- Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages and reporting them
- Using wraps and pallets to safely stack goods for transport
- Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum five years of experience in forklift operation
- Must be motivated, prompt, reliable and ready to work independently and responsibly
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to perform minimum lifting (up to 50 lbs)
- Ability to bend, squat and crouch
- Must be able to pass a fitness for duty test
