Diesel Mechanic

Job Description Job Description The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy trucks and trailers, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Working within a small team of 2-5 members, the role focuses on engine repair, diagnostic testing, and troubleshooting of diesel engines and related systems. Minimal customer interaction is expected, although occasional overnight or extended travel assignments may be required. Responsibilities Perform engine repair and maintenance on heavy trucks and trailers Conduct diagnostic testing using specialized tools to identify mechanical issues Replace parts and components as needed for hydraulic, fuel, and electrical systems Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and system failures Inspect equipment regularly to ensure safety compliance and operational efficiency Maintain and repair hydraulic and fuel injection systems Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards Required Qualifications Proficient in diesel engine repair and use of diagnostic tools Experience with hydraulic and fuel injection systems Knowledge of electrical systems related to diesel engines Strong problem-solving skills Familiarity with Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) systems Preferred Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in diesel mechanics Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
