Part Time DriverPosition Responsibilities:Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customersPick up returns and coresDrop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programsDaily collection of credit accountsBuild and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveriesAssist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction valueMaintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lotGeneral stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle countsMaintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with salesEngage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or servicesOther duties as assignedSuccess Factors:Safe driving and navigation abilityAbility to use delivery board systemFriendly and persuasive communicationAbility to locate and stock partsSafety knowledge and skillsOperating inventory systems (Back stock) and store equipmentSales aptitude and customer service orientationAbility to identify customer needs and recommend solutionsEssential Job Skills Necessary for Success as a Driver:Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadershipRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manualsUse basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsAbility to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as neededConfidence in engaging customers and promoting productsWilling to learn about new products and sales techniquesPrior Experience that Sets a Driver up for Success:Automotive parts experience is preferredEducation:High school diploma or equivalentCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee will predominantly be walking or standing. The employee is required to be able to talk and hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is usually working inside; however, they will occasionally be outside and exposed to various weather conditions while performing such tasks as installing batteries and wiper blades. The employee is also occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; explosives; and vibration.
