Registered Nurse – Neurological Unit (Stroke/Epilepsy Care)

Join a specialized neurological unit providing care to patients with complex neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, and other neurological disorders. This role offers an opportunity to develop advanced nursing skills while working in a fast-paced environment alongside an interdisciplinary team.

As part of a Joint Commission-accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, nurses participate in the care of acute and complex neurological patients, including seizure evaluation and monitoring using advanced continuous video EEG technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialized nursing care for neurological patients with acute and chronic conditions.
Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry and neurological assessments.
Collaborate with physicians, neurologists, EEG specialists, and interdisciplinary teams.
Utilize critical thinking skills to recognize changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately.
Support evidence-based stroke and seizure management practices.

Required Qualifications:

Active RN License (New York State only)
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
Telemetry experience required
Current BLS certification
Current NIHSS certification
