Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a focus on continuous improvement. About the job Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) Operations Accountant provides critical business advisory support for all matters impacting fixed asset accounting. In this role, you will advise the business on complex transactions, execute reporting cycles, and ensure compliance. In addition, you will drive system improvements and contribute to transformation projects to optimize operations and increase accuracy supporting Google's global real estate portfolio. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $128000 - $187000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits. Lead critical month-end close activities to ensure accurate, timely reporting, delivering key financial results, commentary, and insights to finance leadership. Lead Construction in Progress (CIP) reviews to identify and address potential impairment risks across real estate assets. Own and oversee CapEx SOX processes, specifically governing CIP reviews and property purchase accounting. Advocate for business transformation by leading process improvement and automation initiatives, leveraging large data sets and data visualization solutions to drive operational efficiency.
