Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in an Operating Room (OR) environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in perioperative procedures and protocols
• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile technique
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR support staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients throughout pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases
• Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring all equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and available
• Collaborate closely with surgical teams to anticipate needs and respond promptly during procedures
• Monitor patients’ vital signs, anesthetic administration, and overall condition during surgeries
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in compliance with facility protocols
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety standards
• Provide emotional support to patients and families before and after surgery
