JOIN OUR TEAM AS A PACKAGING SPECIALIST

We are growing quickly and are ready to expand our team! Butcher Block 66 is looking for Packaging Specialists to help with our growing work load. The Packaging Specialist is a key player in our precision functions in preparation and packaging of meat - including packaging a variety of meats, vacuum-sealing, boxing customer orders, and assisting with seasoning products. This position will be required to learn meat cuts as well. Other important aspects may be keeping records, and taking customer orders. Being able to communicate and take feedback is important in this role.

We are looking for a motivated self-starter with a good attitude to grow with our growing company. We are willing to teach the right candidates! Previous experience is not necessary. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately package and label products
• Operate a large vacuum-sealer
• Record and organize customer cutting instruction pertaining to custom beef, lamb, pork processing
• Maintain communication with customers including the status of their orders, taking customer cutting instructions, and invoicing customer orders
• Keep entrance area, storage areas, and other work spaces organized and clean while maintaining a safe working environment
• Assist with seasoning and sausage making, as needed
• Ensure the highest standard of food safety and product quality
• Willingness to learn various meat cuts & cooking styles
• Must have excellent attention to detail, and take pride in your work

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: high school or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Capable of operating our smokehouse and making processed meats
• Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment
• Must wear all safety equipment required
• Other: Working in cool, warm, wet and/or humid environments; moving mechanical parts; standing for long stretches of time; frequently lift 50+ pounds; use of certain PPE required in the facility

JOB TYPE

• Full-Time, Part-Time, and Seasonal day shifts are available between 7AM-7PM Monday through Friday
• Weekend hours available if interested
• Overtime is available, but not at all expected or mandatory
• Our management is flexible in setting work schedules for the right candidate

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Salary: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
