About the Position

Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in the field License: SC Radiology license Certifications: ARRT R, ARRT CT, BLS Must-Have: - Minimum one year of EPIC experience - Two years of experience in the field - Will review first-time travelers based on experience Description: The position requires working three nights a week, specifically on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. The shift hours are from 19:00 to 07:30. Two technicians are staffed during this shift to cover X-ray and CT for emergency department patients and inpatients. Some patient transport is involved, particularly between the emergency department and patient locations. Radiologists are available off-site during these hours for consultation. Epic Clientnt is utilized in radiology, with secure paging available for communication with radiologists. The facility is designated as a primary stroke center. Scrub color for this position is Hunter Green. While efforts are made to keep staff in their home unit, floating to other units or campuses may be required when necessary. Float assignments will be limited to areas where staff have documented competencies. Preferred experience includes Trauma Level I or II. Skills required include performing abdominal studies, brain perfusion, chest studies, and vascular imaging. This position also requires knowledge in radiation safety and the preparation and administration of contrast media. Additional responsibilities involve working in adult acute care and performing various imaging procedures.
