The CMS Standards team focuses on the due diligence and onboarding of new fintech partners and payments relationships. We’re looking for a compliance leader who is passionate about fintech and ready to hit the ground running to help build out and streamline our onboarding program.Responsibilities:Perform due diligence activities to ensure the risks of a new partnership and/or payments relationship are properly assessed. Advise management on such risks and make recommendations regarding proposed engagementsParticipate in the development and delivery of compliance management system materials, such as training for fintech partnersDevelop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, while setting clear expectations regarding third-party compliance with law, regulation, and Bank policyAdvise partners on the risks associated with their proposed product and design of related operational controlsCoordinate with other compliance teams to ensure a consistent approach to handling compliance issuesPrepare deliverables and provide support for regulatory exams and/or internal auditsWill be expected to support additional areas of compliance due diligence, including but not limited to Fraud Prevention and Transaction MonitoringRequired Skills & Qualifications:4+ years compliance experience supporting a variety of bank products and servicesBachelors Degree or higher required.Strong practical experience advising product and operational teams on the design and implementation of new banking productsDemonstrated ability to explain the compliance risks associated with product proposals and advise stakeholders on developing both customer-facing content and key operational controlsExperience developing the elements of a compliance program, including risk assessment, monitoring and testing planning, third party oversight, and compliance trainingExpertise in laws and regulations governing consumer and commercial financial products, including, but not limited to, TILA/Regulation Z, ECOA/Regulation B, FCRA/Regulation V, SCRA, MLA, EFTA/Regulation E, TISA/Regulation DD, EFAA/Regulation CC, as well as industry best practicesExperience supporting regulatory exams and auditsProven track record showing ability to manage multiple large projects and competing prioritiesExcellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at the non-executive and executive levelEffective persuasion skills and ability to develop practical solutions that meet business needs while remaining compliant with applicable laws within the Bank's risk toleranceHighly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organizedPreferred Skills & Qualifications:Prior fintech experience a plusCRCM and/or JD a plus#LI-JJ1 #LI-Hybrid #LI-OnsiteSalary Range: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00Cross River is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
