Senior Associate, Treasury

Located in our Newport Beach California office, the Senior Associate, Treasury will have previous experience in corporate financial management and will be an integral part of maintaining positive relationships with banks and financial institutions. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting & Treasury, the Senior Associate, Treasury will be responsible corporate liquidity, fund liquidity, and risk management related to the company's financial activities. This role is 100% in-office due to the collaborative nature of our business. Job Duties: Treasury & Liquidity Management Manage accuracy of daily cash position reporting and liquidity analysis. Collaborate with Acquisitions team on cash needs relating to acquisitions, refinancing activities and dispositions. Assist with liquidity management, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements. Collaborate with Accounting and Asset Management on an efficient loan draw process to ensure timely funding of capital improvements. Monitor company-wide risk exposure to financial institutions. Lead Treasury initiatives to optimize working capital in the company as it relates to A/R, A/P, inventory and settlement flows. Assist with bank account administration (user setup, audits, etc.). Assist with banking file integration into the Company's IT systems. Entire wire and ACH payments. Cultural Duties Maintain a strong fiduciary responsibility to the company and Funds. Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company. Keep company executives fully informed on all problems and matters of unusual significance ensuring proactive action is taken when appropriate. Lead, develop and mentor a team of Treasury professionals. Interpersonal Skills Hands-on management and development of accounting staff. Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills. The ability to comprehend complex financial structures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and nonverbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical accounting information to a cross section of audiences. A collaborative, nimble, responsive, and team-orientated work style. Excellent organizational, problem solving, and planning skills. The discipline and ability to adhere to strict deadlines. Reporting Relationships Reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting & Treasury The Qualifiers: 5+ years of progressive finance, accounting and treasury experience. 3+ years’ experience in treasury supervisory position. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience. Certified Cash Manager designation (CMM) from the Treasury Management Association (TMA) desired. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational, problem solving, and communication skills required. Ability to prioritize, work independently and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment is a must.
