Mammographer

We are seeking a Mammographer with experience in general radiology and mammography to join our new Imaging Center on a per diem (as needed) basis. As part of our CARES-giver team, you will provide imaging services to our patients. Location: Dallas Here’s a Sneak Peek At What You’ll Do Prepare patients for radiologic and/or mammography procedures. Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed. Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during scan. Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination. Take scans following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety. Develop and process radiologic film. Create superior patient experience. Work with a diverse patient population in the heart of Dallas. What You Need To Succeed To become one of our CARES-givers, you will have excellent patient engagement, strong communication skills, and promote teamwork. You will also have the following: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates preferred Current TX Radiologic Technologist licensure required, ARRT certification required. Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiology Technology and meets the MQSA guidelines Current BLS certification 1 years related experience, community health care experience preferred Bilingual in Spanish, Pashto, Rohinyga, or Burmese is a plus Attention to detail and a have high sense of urgency. Must display good judgment, maintains confidentiality, sound decision-making, and be able to work independently, as needed. Work in a fast-paced environment and display strong patient service skills.
