A growing behavioral health organization is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to oversee nursing operations across a full continuum of care, including:

• Residential Services: Detox, Intensive Inpatient Programming, and Residential Mental HealthTreatment
• Outpatient Services: Partial Hospitalization Program, Intensive Outpatient Program, and Outpatient Services

This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, nursing excellence, and staff development across multiple levels of behavioral healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services.
• Oversee nursing care delivery for individuals with substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and high-acuity mental health conditions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and accreditation standards.
• Lead and develop nursing teams through recruitment, training, mentorship, and performance management.
• Partner with medical, clinical, and executive leadership to drive exceptional patient outcomes.
• Monitor quality assurance initiatives, risk management activities, and patient safety standards.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and evidence-based nursing practices.
• Manage staffing models, scheduling, and departmental resources effectively.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of nursing leadership experience in behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple levels of care within behavioral health settings.
• Strong clinical expertise in managing patients with high-acuity mental health conditions , crisis intervention needs, and co-occurring disorders.
• Knowledge of detoxification, residential treatment, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
