Transportation Construction Inspector

Construction InspectorAn experienced NICET Level II certified Construction Inspector is needed for multiple NYSDOT Region 4 construction projects in 2026. Under the direction and supervision of the NYSDOT Engineer-In-Charge, the Construction Inspector will oversee daily work operations of the contractor to ensure that the work is completed in accordance with the contract documents. The candidate will be a proactive self-starter and a positive example to others on the job.Responsibilities:Oversee contractors' work to ensure conformance with the contract documentsEnsure all work follows the NYSDOT Standard SpecificationsVerify all materials on-site are from an approved sourcePerform concrete field testing when necessaryAssure all MURK procedures required by the NYSDOT are followedAddress field and design changes as necessaryPrepare Daily Work Reports documenting completed work for payment to contractorRequirements:A valid driver's license is requiredA minimum of 2+ years of construction inspection experienceNICET Level II Certified or Equivalent based on experienceExperience completing Daily Work ReportsProvide a detailed resume highlighting your experienceJoin the Erdman Anthony community and help us build our communities!
