Automotive Detailer

John Jones Auto Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Automotive Detailer to join our team. The Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning, preparing, and maintaining new and pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet dealership standards and are ready for customers.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, and clean new and pre-owned vehicles.
• Vacuum and thoroughly clean vehicle interiors, including carpets, seats, dashboards, consoles, windows, and other surfaces.
• Clean and condition upholstery, leather, vinyl, and interior trim.
• Wax, buff, polish, and apply other exterior treatments as needed.
• Clean wheels, tires, wheel wells, and exterior trim.
• Remove stickers, decals, residue, and other materials from vehicles as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for customer delivery and dealership display.
• Detail trade-ins and pre-owned vehicles in preparation for sale.
• Inspect completed vehicles to ensure they meet dealership cleanliness and appearance standards.
• Report any vehicle damage or concerns to management.
• Maintain detailing equipment, tools, chemicals, and supplies.
• Keep the detail area clean, organized, and safe.
• Move and park vehicles safely throughout dealership property.
• Assist with lot organization and vehicle movement when needed.
• Follow all dealership safety procedures and guidelines for the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive detailing experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple vehicles and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and dealership procedures.
• Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record required.
• Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
