Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for a dynamic medical-surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and will be equipped to manage a variety of patient diagnoses.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to patients.Manage and monitor telemetry patients, including interpretation of dysrhythmias.Administer medications, including IV insulin protocols and blood products.Perform colostomy care, feeding tube management, and pre/post hemodialysis care.Conduct blood draws via central and peripheral lines.Utilize non-invasive airway management techniques and oxygen therapy.Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and wound care protocols.Collaborate with rapid response teams and participate in patient assessments.Document patient care accurately using Epic and SBAR formats.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.Accepts first-time travelers as well as local candidates.Certifications: BCLS certification required.Preferred skills include telemetry management, surgical drain care, and tracheostomy management.Shift Details12-hour night shifts available (18:45 - 07:15).36 or 48 hours per week accepted.Operational flexibility required, including potential floating to other units.Weekend shifts of 12-16 hours may be required during the contract.Unit SpecificsTarget nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6.Unit orientation: 24 hours, with hospital orientation in the first week.Patient population includes diagnoses such as dementia, diabetes, COVID-19, pneumonia, and more.Additional InformationMust pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty.Contract staff may be required to work during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters.This position involves an isolation area for COVID-19 patients and multi-level care capabilities.Join our team and contribute to providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population while enhancing your nursing skills in a supportive environment.Client Details State NC
