We are a private kindergarten set on 5,000 square metres of beautiful forest land. Children here spend real time outdoors, exploring, climbing and learning among the trees, as well as participating in indoor English classes with touchscreen computers. The English team is small and friendly, and we take pride in maintaining a flexible and fun atmosphere for both children and staff. The railway station is close by. Nanjing is 20 minutes away by high-speed train and Shanghai is about one hour, so city weekends give those new to China the opportunity to explore larger cities while living somewhere green, quiet, and low-rent. The role -
Teach English to children aged 3 to 6, working with several different age groups across the schedule. Follow an established curriculum while planning your own lessons and using the methods that work best for you.
Feel free to bring songs, stories, games and outdoor activities into your teaching. Our forest is part of the classroom.
Work alongside experienced local teachers who support you in class.
Build warm, patient relationships with every child, and keep in mind the requests and requirements of parents where relevant. Who we are looking for -
Proven experience teaching or caring for very young children, ages 3 to 6 - this is essential.
Three years experience preferred, although we will consider highly enthusiastic candidates with fewer, or those with applicable experience in another, similar field.
Genuine patience, warmth and energy. Small children need a teacher who is consistent, patient, and respects their needs.
Creativity and confidence to plan your own classes while meeting curricular goals.
Experience with computers is preferred. Requirements-
Native English speaker (passport from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland etc)
Bachelor's degree in any subject
TEFL, TESOL or CELTA certificate
Clean criminal record check
Eligible for a Chinese work visa (Z visa), which we sponsor What we offer
