Shipping & Receiving Associate

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Associate for a growing manufacturing company in the Grapevine area. This position is responsible for the movement of materials, inventory control, shipping and receiving activities, and supporting production operations in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities
  • Receive materials from vendors, warehouses, and other locations, verifying counts and documentation
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments safely and accurately
  • Move materials, components, and finished products using forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment
  • Stage and prepare finished goods for shipment
  • Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records through data entry and inventory control systems
  • Deliver materials to production work centers as needed
  • Investigate and report discrepancies in shipments, inventory, or receiving documentation
  • Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Answer inquiries regarding shipments, inventory status, and material receipts
  • Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements
Qualifications
  • Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred
  • Forklift experience required; experience operating cranes, yard tractors, or similar equipment is a plus
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Experience with inventory control systems and warehouse documentation
  • Ability to read part numbers, material descriptions, and shipping documents accurately
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to obtain a CDL if required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach as needed
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
