Maintenance Manager

Gadsden, Alabama | Industrial Manufacturing Gateway Group Personnel has been exclusively engaged by an established industrial manufacturer to identify an experienced Maintenance Manager for its Gadsden, Alabama facility. This is an opportunity for a hands‑on maintenance leader to take ownership of the maintenance function within a substantial manufacturing operation. The Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance team and partner closely with Production, Safety and plant leadership to improve equipment reliability, support production requirements and maintain a safe, effective operation. Key Responsibilities Lead, develop and coordinate the activities of the plant maintenance team. Plan and assign maintenance activities according to production schedules and operating priorities. Manage departmental operating, staffing, repair and maintenance costs within established budgets. Coordinate equipment maintenance priorities, repairs and installations with Production leadership. Develop and maintain an effective Preventive Maintenance Program. Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained safely, reliably and in accordance with applicable requirements. Maintain accurate maintenance records for cranes, mobile equipment and other OSHA‑regulated equipment. Analyze maintenance and repair projects and estimate associated costs and labor requirements. Assist and direct employees in dismantling, assembling, repairing and installing industrial machinery. Troubleshoot operating and maintenance issues and work with employees to develop practical solutions. Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance and product quality. Establish and continuously improve maintenance procedures, systems and records. Develop maintenance employees through coaching, performance management and skills training. Qualifications Minimum 8 years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience leading an industrial maintenance function and maintenance personnel. Strong practical troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilities. Ability to work effectively with Production, Safety and other plant leadership functions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer proficiency. Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant maintenance experience will be considered.
