This is a full‑time, 40 hour per week position which includes a full range of benefits including paid time off, sick leave, 11 paid holidays, employee health, dental, life, vision, disability and MOLAGERS retirement. Hours are generally 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday‑Friday. Responsibilities: Receives, reviews, and processes applications for site plans, zoning‑rezoning, subdivision plat, master plan, special use permit, variance. Receives, reviews, and issues sign permits. Reviews building permits and business licenses for zoning compliance as needed. Records plans and plats. Prepares Site Improvement Escrow agreements. Provides both technical and procedural information in response to inquiries from developers, property owners, and the general public regarding planning and zoning related matters. Acquires, creates, and maintains GIS data, provides GIS queries and data summaries. Produces custom maps as requested. Provides administrative support to the Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustment: prepares public hearing notices for mailing and legal publication; prepares agendas and types minutes. Conducts research pertaining to code and zoning inquiries as requested. Coordinates and administers processes for land use compliance with related ordinances, site plans, codes, and procedures. Updates the City website. As necessary, performs the duties of the Permit Technician in his/her absence. Performs office management functions and other related duties as assigned.
