As part of the Wayne Memorial Health System, the hospital is committed to delivering comprehensive healthcare services with a focus on improving community well-being.This is a full-time, on-site role for Neurologist based in Honesdale, PA providing non-surgical specialty care for patients with disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. This role involves diagnosing and managing neurological conditions through comprehensive assessments, diagnostic testing, and collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Additional duties may include participation in community outreach and healthcare education initiatives. The position primarily focuses on outpatient care with shared responsibility of inpatient rounding and call.Key ResponsibilitiesExpertise in the treatment of neurological conditions and evaluations, including diagnosis, treatment evaluations and assessments.Order, interpret, and monitor EEGs, laboratory studies, imaging, and other diagnostic tests.Strong skills in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and developing treatment plansProficiency in medical documentation and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulatory standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.Collaborate closely with primary care physicians and multidisciplinary team members, including nurses, medical assistants, and social workers, to coordinate patient care.Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care delivery.Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive base salary with productivity-based wRVU incentives.Sign-on bonus.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and CME days, with CME reimbursement.Malpractice insurance with tail coverage provided.Supportive work environment that values work-life balance and professional impact.Wayne Memorial Hospital is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to the communities we serve while fostering a supportive environment for providers to thrive professionally and personally.Minimum RequirementsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.Board certified or board eligible in neurology.Active Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.Experience in a hospital or community healthcare setting is advantageous.
