Registered Nurse Endoscopy/GI

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN to provide specialized care in GI procedures. The role involves assisting during endoscopic exams, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform pre-procedure assessments and obtain patient histories.
  
  
• 
  Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, ensuring equipment is prepared and functioning properly.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patients' vital signs and sedation levels throughout procedures.
  
  
• 
  Document procedures and patient responses accurately in compliance with hospital protocols.
  
  
• 
  Provide post-procedure care, including patient education and recovery monitoring.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to all safety, infection control, and emergency response procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 12 months of permanent endoscopy or GI experience.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  
  
• 
  Strong knowledge of ECG rhythm recognition and sedation protocols.
  
  
• 
  Ability to pass required assessments, including ECG recognition and safeMedicate modules.
  
  
• 
  Successful completion of all facility-specific drug screens and background checks.
