Role Overview The Registered Nurse assesses, manages, and coordinates patient care during hospitalization, utilizing a patient-centered approach. Key Responsibilities Conducts comprehensive assessments, develops and evaluates individualized care plans, administers medications, and documents nursing interventions. Collaborates with the healthcare team, provides patient and family education, and ensures safety and infection control standards are met. Recognizes changes in patient condition, responds appropriately, and involves families in decision-making. Offers specialized care to high-risk patients, manages pain and restraint use, and reports abuse or risks promptly. Maintains professional accountability, adheres to policies, and delivers service excellence through effective communication, respect, and compassion. Participates in performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and unit initiatives. Provides age-appropriate care and promotes cost-effective resource utilization. Qualifications & Skills Requires a valid RN license in the applicable state, Basic Life Support certification, and adherence to hospital policies. Demonstrates technical proficiency, effective communication, teamwork, adaptability, and a commitment to quality and safety. Maintains a professional, respectful attitude toward colleagues, patients, and families, ensuring confidentiality and a positive environment. Additional Duties Supports infection control, safety, and environmental standards, and participates in ongoing education and departmental activities.
