Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry/PCU unit serving a cardiac and geriatric adult population
• Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses including chest pain, MI, open heart surgery, Watchman procedure, TAVR, post-op cardiac catheterization, and post-op pacemaker placement
• Operate and interpret data from equipment including pacers and arterial lines (A-lines)
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EHR
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 (RN) and float to 1:1 assignments as needed based on unit staffing needs
• Work every other weekend based on unit staffing requirements

• Active RN license (Pennsylvania license or compact eligibility required)
• Cardiac Catheterization experience is required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, Telemetry, or Step-Down setting
• Must complete all Pennsylvania state clearances prior to start, including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services Fingerprinting, FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PA State Police (PATCH) clearance - all fingerprints must be submitted and cleared before assignment begins
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

• Experience with cardiac monitoring, pacemakers, and arterial lines
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records
• Experience caring for geriatric cardiac patient populations
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with adaptability in a fast-paced acute care environment
