The posted compensation range of $54.43 - $73.98 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The incumbent is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a patient assignment through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and other health care team members. The incumbent, as a member of the health care team appropriately assists team members in providing holistic care to patients and their support systems with an awareness of cost containment and time management.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes. • Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data: follows the written plan of care, standards, practice guidelines, utilizes pathways, which includes notifying physicians as appropriate
• Formulates a plan of care for individual needs, including patient population needs. Participates in the planning of routine transitional health care needs (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options)
• Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and family by modifying teaching strategies or content. Integrates education during the delivery of patient care
• Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care to determine immediate priorities and to offer solutions for problems. Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience
• Follows unit specific safety regulations and guidelines
• Actively advocates for patient rights and identifies potential conflict. Seeks counsel for resolution of conflict

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of consecutive recent (within the last 5 years) ED and/or ICU experience. (may consider training if current staff skillset and experience allows)
• Associates Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
• Working knowledge of basic dysrhythmia
• Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills
• Licensed or eligible for licensing in State as a Registered Nurse
• BLS and ACLS certifications (from an AHA designated trainer)
• PALS certification (or must obtain this certification within 6 months of hire or transfer into position)

Preferred Qualifications :

• BSN
• Recent working experience in a critical care and/or emergency department
• Advanced dysrhythmia interpretation
• CCRN, ENPC, ERN, FRN, MICN or TNCC certifications

Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. It is one of only two Level II trauma centers, the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the only Joint Commission-certified Advanced Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center north of Sacramento north of Sacramento. Mercy Medical Center Redding is a 266-bed regional medical center providing inpatient and outpatient services as well as specialized cardiovascular care, stroke care, orthopedics, neurological surgery, comprehensive cancer care, maternity care, and a robust robotic surgery program. In addition, the hospital's network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice and Dignity Health Connected Living.
