Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: 1 Year Med Surg Experience Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 36 Number of Staff: Day Shift: 1 charge, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs Night Shift: 1 charge, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs Patient Ratios: 1:5, may flex to 1:6 Type of Equipment: Telemetry EMR: Meditech Typical Hiring Profile: Skill Set Most Recruited For: Must Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. 1 Year Med Surg Experience BLS Preferred or Nice to Have: Candidates with these skills will be considered first. Orthopedic and/or Trauma Patient Experience List Typical Procedures Performed/Common Diagnoses: Polytrauma patients Non-surgical cervical fractures cleared by spine Orthopedic and trauma patients with downgraded traumatic brain injury No more than 3 drains Burn downgrades Heparin and Protonix drips Best Personality Fit: Team player Floating Area(s): All Med Surg Units Dress Code: Scrub Color: Royal Blue Unit Guidelines/Policies: Be on the unit by 0645/1845 for huddle. Tardy by hospital policy by 0653/1853. Weekends and On-call: 4 weekend commitment.
