Overview Registered Nurse – First Assist, Bethel, Alaska. Travel - temporary assignment starting 09/29/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 32 per week. Weekly pay range: $2,155–$2,314 per week. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,155–$2,314 per week Guaranteed hours: 32 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Start date: 09/29/2026 Setting: Hospital Responsibilities Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on established standards; collaborate with other health professionals to achieve quality, cost-effective, and efficient outcomes. Serve as a resource for the care team; provide patient/family education and apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in care delivery. Maintain patient safety and quality of care across the continuum; document actions and communicate findings to the care team. Supervise unit secretaries and patient care technicians in collaboration with the Charge Nurse. Requirements Current Alaska license in good standing as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Completion of a nursing program from an NLN-approved institution. Preferred one year of healthcare experience as an RN. Ability to practice nursing in line with Alaska statutes and to work in a hospital setting; capable of independent action within prescribed limits. Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations from birth to elderly.
