Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in PCU License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: - PCU experience - Ability to float Description: This position is in a specialty care hospital setting. The unit focuses on care for Level 2 ICU patients, including open heart procedures, trauma, and neuro surgery. There are 24 beds in the unit. Patient ratios are 1:3 for Intermediate Care. The equipment used includes IV pumps, monitoring devices, and CRRT machines. The electronic health record system is Cerner. The patient population served includes adults and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses include post-open heart surgery, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, and post-stroke recovery. Candidates should be positive team players. Scrub colors required are Galaxy, Royal, or navy blue. Hoodies and open-toed shoes are not permitted attire.
