Express Employment Professionals' Specialized Recruiting Group has partnered with a respected, locally owned trucking and fleet services company in the Greenwood, IN area that is seeking a Maintenance Clerk to support the daily operations of the maintenance department. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with data and records, and excels at staying organized and detail-focused.

Job Summary


The Maintenance Clerk will serve as support for the Fleet Manager and maintenance team, acting as a key contributor to the maintenance department. This role ensures that parts, records, and reports are accurate and up to date by managing workflows, maintaining communication, and checking data for errors. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, and is comfortable balancing both office work and inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Fleet Manager by keeping tasks and priorities on track
• Coordinate with maintenance staff, vendors, and accounting to complete tasks on time
• Maintain records, schedules, and inventory to keep information accurate and organized
• Communicate professionally with vendors, mechanics, and internal teams
• Prepare and manage documents such as reports, purchase orders, and inventory logs
• Enter fleet and maintenance data into the system daily
• Review purchase orders and invoices to ensure correct payment
• Receive, label, organize, and distribute parts to mechanics
• Help identify ways to improve processes and increase efficiency
• Assist with inventory tracking and organization
• Support reporting by reviewing data, identifying trends, and fixing errors
• Contribute to team success and help meet safety goals

Requirements

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with a team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
• At least 1 year of recent office experience required
• Experience in trucking, maintenance, or a related field is preferred
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Schedule


Monday-Friday, day shift (overtime may be available)

Pay & Benefits

• $20-$23 per hour (based on experience)
