What you’ll be doing:

• Cover surfaces with appropriate materials such as cloth or plastic to ensure protection during painting
• Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping and using sandpaper
• Applies joint compound and tape to drywall to achieve a finished wall surface
• Fills nail holes, cracks and joints with caulk, putty, plaster or other filler
• Apply paint or other finishes using brushes, rollers or sprayers
• Cleans and maintains work areas and equipment, including tools.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations including the proper use of all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of operations.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Painter Skills/Qualifications:

• Residential and/or commercial painting; 5 years (Required)
• Physical stamina and strength
• Safety management mindset
• Focus on quality and process
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel the Chicagoland area

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required
• Certification in painting or relevant field preferred but not required

Work Hours & Benefits:

Shifts are currently 7:00am - 4:15 pm Monday - Thursday, and Friday 7:00 am - 12:00 pm.

The pay rate is $25-$35 hourly, depending on skill set and experience. Regular work conditions are indoors and include exposure to dust, cold, heat and humidity.
